You mean that now I'll be the only poet posting? Well, glad you had your shares in this thread and best of luck in finding better places to appreciate your poetry =)

As for this girl, the joy of writing only is more than enough for me to continue writing, thanks for starting a thread I would've started if you didn't. And good to see you back around.

Now for a poem of my writing

    Uncertain Feelings

    What?
    How?
    Though, ..

    I ... don't know

    Ha, Yes!
    Could be No?

    Okay,
    I have to go

True to poetic form, my last post is open to interpretation and you can make of it what you want.

I'm not ruling out making posts in this thread altogether, and maybe I'd post a poem or two when I get a substantial amount of free time (probably around Christmas), or give feedback on your poems now and again (more likely the latter).

One of the points I'm making though is that I'm unable to think along the lines of "Hey, I've got some spare time now... why don't I relax by going to AN poetry thread and reading some thoughtful poems by a bunch of people [not just thoughtful poems by one person] I've known online for a while, and engage in some interesting discussion about them! And maybe I'll contribute a poem of my own too!"

Sure, a few years ago, I could think like that because even though we were a small group, there were at least, like, 5 people posting poems. But now, it's a bit too barren for me to make much effort, sorry. Who knows, if I see more people in this thread making 1/10th of the effort that you are putting in, I may change my mind; but I'm definitely not holding my breath on this one.

That's cool, and it's your choice; you obviously have much more patience than I do. But so long as you're aware that we're essentially being ignored completely by the rest of cyberspace.

Letter from under the Sea By Nizar Qubanni

If you are my friend, help me,
        To leave you.
If you are my lover, help me,
So that I can be cured of you.
If I knew that love was so dangerous,
        I would not have loved.
If I knew that the sea was so deep,
I would not have set sail.
        If I knew my end,
        I would not have begun.

I desire you, so teach me
        Not to desire.
        Teach me
How to cut the roots of love from the depths.
        Teach me
        How tears perish in eyes.
        Teach me
How the heart dies and yearning ends.

If you are a prophet, free me
        From this enchantment,
        From this disbelief.
Your love is blasphemy, so cleanse me
        From this disbelief.

If you are strong, pull me out
        Of this open sea.
I do not know the art of swimming.
The blue waves of your eyes,
        Drag me to the depths.
        I do not have experience
In love, and I do not have a boat.

If I am precious to you, hold my hands.
I am breathing under the water.
        I am drowning,
        Drowning.
        Drowning.

          Keys by Fatima Kandil

          The keys that open doors
are the keys that close them,
and the keys strangled in chains
have nothing but the drama of tinkling.
But the key that dies in my pocket
          reminds me it is time
that I became a reasonable woman
          who lives in a house
          without keys, without doors.

            The sound of your voice

Fly me on the wings of time
            Where I can see
            so much of me
            so much of me

Wake me up on a voice that comes from far
            From the stars
            Reaches me in whispers
            And I wonder to find
            From where it comes
            From where it comes

Fly me to that far place
            where
            Transparent curtains
            blowing and blowing
            in the breeze
            of your voice
            sitting by the window
            closing your eyes
            while ...
            singing
            singing
            singing

            And playing your guitar

            In a place so far
            In a place so far

            Once upon a dream~

It might have some mistakes but I had to post it before it fades from my mind!!! Edit again later.

Have you ever sang so loud

              You spoke your heart out

              But no one heard you

              No one felt you

Only the noise in the air

your voice is such a nightmare!

              And you don't care

              because

              nobody is really there

              Nobody is really there
