anime fans; what would anyone recommend to someone new to the style and genre but who particularly enjoys #Berserk (in all its forms)- but also appreciates stuff like Deathnote, Akira and Angel's Egg?

Gantz is about as surreal and messed up as Berserk, but has a horror sci-fi angle instead of horror fantasy. The manga goes off the rails after a particularly abrupt and poorly written mega plot twist about 2/3 of the way through, but what can you do? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Not anime, but I feel like Game of Thrones has a lot of shared vibe with Berserk.

If your a fan of Berserk then I recommend Gungrave - Its relationship of of Brandon & Harry is similar to Guts & Griffith.Avatar: Carla - Fairy Tail Final

Been wracking my brain trying to think of titles that might have some similarity to Angel's Egg, either by way of themes or art style. Some possibilities:
Haibane Renmei
Land of the Lustrous
Kino's Journey (2 series)
Current Avatar: Chika Fujiwara from Kaguya-sama: Love is War
