The next state in human evolution has arrived. After a cataclysmic event has transformed the Japanese landscape, several humans have developed special powers and abilities, these humans are known as Alters. A special organization consisting of several of these Alters is created in an attempt to control those living within the desolation known as the ‘Lost Ground.’ Kazuma has spent his entire life in these wastelands relying on his special powers to survive, but when ‘Holy’ threatens to take away his freedom, he will be left with a choice to join or die.
