Knowledge surfaces that Prince Jimsa's twin sister, Affle, bears the red-dragon birthmark, and survived despite being condemned to death by decree of the Cosmorian Empire at birth. Jimsa and Affle finally meet in the midst of war. However, after years of being raised as the son of a prostitute, Affle has become a skeptical ruffian and initially refuses to join in Jimsa's fight for the Empire.
Meanwhile, Grandfather's individual mission to victor over the colonizing machines becomes apocalyptic as he routes a spaceship to obliterate the entire planet Astralta.
